Our Rio Rancho Remodeling Processs
The 3 most common reasons for remodeling a home:
1.) One is to increase the functionality of a space or multiple spaces. Redesigning the floor plan can do wonders with an area while avoiding the extra costs of an addition, or a move.
2.) Another reason for remodeling is to increase the home's value. With a kitchen or bathroom remodel, it is an investment with a 85%-100% return on your money, or more, in many instances.
3.) Many people will choose to remodel simply because they want to increase their enjoyment, because the location of the home is great, and they don't plan on leaving. When this happens, things are updated and price takes a back seat, so people tend to spend a little bit more.
Even though these are common reasons, they may not be your reason for having work done.
REMODELING PROCESS
Step I:
Wants, Needs, Budgets, and Solutions to Problems
Our initial in home consultation consists of meeting all decision makers to discuss project concerns such as design needs, ideas, budget, materials, and finally, -wants and goals. Our first step is listening to your needs and budget. We listen carefully and create functional and aesthetically pleasing solutions within designs that best control costs without sacrificing project integrity.
Step II:
Drawings and Permits
After coordinating the ideas, it's off to the drawing board. We use Computer Assisted Design (CAD) when possible and CAD renderings when necessary to put all the ideas on paper so you can see your project and how it will complement your home. In this phase we will complete all final designs, and most final choices for materials, colors, brands, etc., and our subcontractors will provide finals on their paperwork. We also create detailed technical drawings that will be submitted for permit application and design approval.
Step III:
Construction and Remodeling
Once proper permits and approvals are obtained, we bring in our Project Manager and you will meet him, do a walk-thru of the project with you, our PM, and all subcontractors for final pre-construction review, and establish a firm system of communication between all parties. You will know everyone working on your project and you will be treated with courtesy and respect throughout the duration of the job. Soon after, things will start to look like a construction project and we're there making noise, generally from 8:30 a.m. to about 5 p.m. We will provide a clean, safe work area at the end of each day to help minimize the disturbance to your evening and weekend routines.
Step IV:
Review and Evaluate
At the midway point (or so) of the project, we will schedule a meeting to discuss any concerns or questions and do an evaluation of the progress for all parties, and make any needed adjustments going forward. The timing for this is typically after most or all demolition and the beginning of the “assembly phase” of the project.
Step V:
Inspections and the Final Touches
As project completion closes in, inspections are passed, our equipment disappears, extra materials and debris are removed, your project is cleaned and it is becoming your home, we will ask for the most important inspection of all, yours. This is the part we really enjoy, because it is the time we get to see the happy and excited eyes of another satisfied customer. As we request final payment, we will be happy to offer tips on caring for your new project.
Step VI:
Follow-up
Within a few days, we will be contacting you to see how everything is going after you have had time to live with your completed project. If anything was missed at the final inspection we can quickly address it. After 30 days you will be contacted again. Time has shown us that 98% of all issues are going to surface within the first 30 days of completion so it only makes sense for us to see how things are going after this critical period so we can make sure you are completely satisfied.
Step VII:
Warranty and Customer Service
We perform follow up contacts on a regular basis to ensure there are no delayed problems, and if there are, we will schedule an appointment to get it taken care of. Our Customer Service Dept. will follow up at 6 month intervals over the life of our Warranty (36 months).
OUR SYSTEM
This is the way the world of residential remodeling should work, to avoid unnecessary problems, and expenses.
It is important to remember each project is a prototype - it has not been done before using the same materials, persons and location.
We must bring our manpower, equipment, and extremely diverse array of materials to your home. In addition, we also depend on as many as a dozen or more subcontractors and suppliers. This is an incredible task, and as your remodeling company, we act as the facilitator to use our expertise for the ideal result.
Each of us, including you, as the client, act as a part of the production team, and share responsibility to make timely decisions and keep the project on schedule.
We cannot emphasize enough the importance of working together to assure the prototype is realized so the desired result can be acheived.
